LAMITAK LAMINATE FAQS
Laminates are made of layers of craft paper soaked in resin and bonded under high heat and pressure. They are durable as they are abrasion- and impact-resistant under normal use.
Lamitak laminates are suitable for vanities and shelves but the panels must be sealed on all sides with Newedge edgebands. It cannot be used on walls or in places where there is heavy flow of water.
Lamitak laminates are easy to clean. Simply wipe them down with a damp cloth and a mild detergent. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the laminate surface.
While Lamitak laminates are durable, they have limitations with heat. Placing hot pots and pans directly on the surface can cause the laminate to warp or delaminate (separate from the core). It's best to use heat pads or trivets for hot items.
