Why This Pledge Exists

AmpQuartz was founded on a single idea: a home isn’t truly beautiful unless it’s safe, healthy, and built with respect for the world around it. That belief extends beyond the cabinets we craft; it shapes every decision we make—from how we source timber to how we treat the people who bring our projects to life. This pledge lays out our long-term commitments across Environmental stewardship, Social responsibility, and sound Governance (ESG) — the three pillars that hold up everything we do.

 

1. Environmental Stewardship

Sustainable Materials

  • FSC-certified plywood & boards: We prioritise responsibly harvested wood to safeguard forests and biodiversity.

  • Low-VOC adhesives & finishes: All surface treatments are selected to minimise harmful emissions in your living space.

  • Formaldehyde-neutralising service: Included with every project to guarantee healthier indoor air quality for children, elders, and pets.

 

Waste & Resource Management

  • Precision cut-planning: Advanced software maps each sheet to maximise yield and reduce off-cuts.

  • Circular mindset: Usable remnants are repurposed for prototypes, community workshops, or donated to vocational schools.

  • Packaging overhaul: We are phasing out single-use plastics in favour of reusable crates and biodegradable wraps.

 

Climate Roadmap

  • Energy-efficient machinery: Upgrading to low-power, high-output tools to cut electrical consumption.

  • On-site renewables: We are conducting a feasibility study for rooftop solar and exploring green tariffs for grid energy.

  • Carbon tracking: Starting 2025, we will publish annual CO₂e estimates and reduction targets.

 

 

2. Social Responsibility

  • Mentorship culture: Senior carpenters, designers, and sales leaders run monthly “You Help, I Help” sessions where skills and lessons are shared openly.

  • Fair labour & safe conditions: All staff receive written contracts, EPF/SOCSO, and regular safety training. Sub-contractors must sign the same code of conduct.

  • Local-supplier partnerships: Over 70 % of raw materials and hardware are sourced from Malaysian businesses, supporting the domestic economy.

  • Donation & volunteer days: Employees receive one paid day each year to volunteer on community renovation or environmental projects.

 

3. Strong Governance
